Hey everyone! I'm new to building PCs, and I've run into a problem after swapping cases, which feels like building a new one. I decided to upgrade my setup starting with a new NZXT H9 Flow case since my old one was cramped and had poor airflow. To complement the new case, I also upgraded to an AIO cooler. My new setup includes:
- GIGABYTE Aorus B550 Elite rev 1.0
- Ryzen 5600x
- Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro 420
- RTX 3070 Eagle OC 8GB
- Corsair RM750 PSU
- 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro RAM
While I know the AIO might be overkill, I'm planning to upgrade my motherboard and CPU soon. My issue is that when I turn on the power supply, the RGBs briefly blink, but then nothing happens when I try to power it on. I've already attempted the screwdriver method, tested the motherboard outside the case, unplugged most components, and tried a different CPU cable. I also cleared the CMOS, but nothing works.
I used Arctic MX-6 thermal paste, but I don't think it's an issue since I was careful. The PC was running fine before, and I suspect a silly mistake might be the cause. Any advice or troubleshooting steps you could suggest would be super helpful!

If the motherboard doesn’t light up at all, make sure all your connections, including RAM, are secure. The 24-pin connector needs to be firmly seated—sometimes it feels like it’s in, but it's not. Check everything again, especially if you're hearing that initial blink without further response.
Have you checked the connections thoroughly? It sounds like you might have a loose cable or the wrong pin connections. I'd recommend checking the flowchart for troubleshooting; there are a lot of possible issues to consider. Also, if the CPU cooler isn’t mounted properly, it could affect the startup. Try reseating the AIO and ensure it's not overtightened. As for the thermal paste, don’t sweat it—it’s usually not conductive if it’s not excessive.
Thanks for the advice! I haven't removed the SSDs yet, so I’ll do that and see if it helps. I'll also double-check the cooler. Appreciate it!
Make sure you’re connecting the right pins for the start button on the motherboard. Also, verify that the CPU pump is correctly plugged into the CPU fan header. Without proper power to the cooler, the system might not start. If the motherboard isn't responding after you use the screwdriver method, it could indicate a more serious issue with the board or CPU.
The pump’s connected to the CPU fan header. I’ve been using the screwdriver technique for starting it, but it’s still not responding after the initial RGB blink. Thinking it might be something more serious.

I've tried reconnecting the 24-pin multiple times, really pushing down on it. It's definitely snug, but I’ll give it another look just in case. Thanks for the tip!
