I'm feeling pretty lost here. I recently built a PC running Windows 11. The system powers on, with fans and cooler working just fine, but it doesn't recognize my monitor or other peripherals. When I took it to the repair shop, it worked perfectly. However, when I bring it back home, the same problem occurs. I thought maybe the issue was due to using an extension cord, which seemed to limit power—occasionally, the fans would slow down. I plugged it directly into the wall socket, but I'm still having issues. Could there be a problem with the wiring in my apartment, or is there something else I should check?

Don't forget to check your monitor settings. Use the on-screen menu to do a factory reset. Sometimes the refresh rate of the monitor can cause these types of issues.
Try plugging your setup into different rooms—preferably on another floor or using sockets in the kitchen, which often run on their own circuit. If it works there, you could have a significant electrical problem at home.
It might be worth testing other wall sockets in your home. Sometimes, certain outlets can have issues that aren't immediately obvious.
Have you set the monitor and peripherals up at the shop just like at home? It could be a problem with the power supply or maybe even a specific port on the motherboard that's causing the issue.
If you have a multimeter, you could check the voltage at the outlet. If not, an outlet tester with a digital display (about $20 at places like Lowe's) could help you diagnose any problems.

I actually tried another wall socket, but it didn’t change anything. The fans still struggle, and the monitor won't recognize the PC.
