I'm trying to revive my old Samsung phone equipped with an S-pen, but it just won't charge anymore. It cycles through showing the battery icon but doesn't hold a charge consistently, and I'm not sure how to get it working again. I know the battery isn't the problem since it turned on for a bit and charged, but now it's completely unresponsive. What can I do to fix this?

If it supports wireless charging, give that a shot! It might take a little while to kick in if the battery is deeply discharged. Just let it sit on the wireless charger for a while and see if it comes to life.
You might want to try taking it to a phone repair shop to get the charging port checked or even replaced. Have you tested with different charging cables to rule that out? If you've only used one cable, I’d suggest getting another one to be safe!
You might want to carefully clean out any lint or dirt from the charging port. Sometimes that's all it takes!
Make sure the charging port is clear of any debris or lint. You can use compressed air or a Q-tip with some rubbing alcohol to clean it gently. Sometimes wiggling the cable to find the right angle indicates a bad connection in the port or the cable itself; checking the cable first is usually easier.
