My RTX 5070 isn’t displaying anything—what should I try next?

Hey everyone! I've just built my new gaming PC, but I'm in a bit of a bind. After installing my new RTX 5070 GPU, nothing shows up on the monitor when I power it on. I swapped in my old RTX 2070, and that works fine. When I try the 5070, the fans spin up, but a white EZ debug LED is lit up on the motherboard, which seems to signal an issue.

I've already updated my BIOS and drivers but still have no luck with the 5070. Does anyone have suggestions on what could be going wrong? Should I consider returning the card? Here are my PC specs for reference:
* CPU: Intel Core i5-14600KF
* RAM: CORSAIR DDR5 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MT/s
* GPU: RTX 5070 (not working) / RTX 2070 (working)
* Motherboard: MSI Z790 GAMING PLUS WiFi
* PSU: Bequiet 850W
* OS: Windows 11

Do you get any BIOS screen with the RTX 5070? If it's just a blank screen, it could be an issue with the GPU itself. If reseating it doesn’t work, it’s possible the card is defective, since your old 2070 works without a hitch. Think about returning or swapping it out if nothing else works.

No BIOS screen at all with the 5070, just black. Might be time to return it.

First off, try reseating your RTX 5070. Just remove it from the PCIe slot and put it back in firmly. Sometimes, a bad connection can cause display issues. Also, make sure you’ve connected any power cables to the card properly. If that doesn’t help, check if your monitor works with different ports or cables.

I'll give that a shot, thanks!
