I've had my Surface Pro 7 i7 for about six years now. A couple of years ago, it had moments where it wouldn't turn on—sometimes taking 30 minutes or even a whole day to turn back on. But that issue disappeared for a while. Recently, it started happening again, and now it's also having trouble connecting to Wi-Fi; I'd have to reset all the Wi-Fi drivers each time I powered it on. Eventually, it stopped turning on altogether! I took it to a PC shop where they managed to turn it on, but they didn't know what was wrong. Another shop said it seems like there's no power going through it. Is there anything I should try before spending a ton to send it to the manufacturer? Thanks for any help!

I see where you're coming from—I had a Surface Pro that performed well too! Before sending it off to repair, try doing a hard reset. Also, check the power adapter and your charging port for any debris. If it's just a power issue, that might fix it and save you some cash!
Honestly, after six years, I'd be hesitant to invest a lot into repairs. Surface devices have a pretty mixed reputation; I've seen so many issues over the years. You might want to consider putting that money toward a more reliable laptop instead. They can make good doorstops at this stage! But if it was working well otherwise, it might be worth at least troubleshooting it a bit more before giving up completely.
