Hey everyone! I'm working on a new PC build and I've mostly finalized my parts list. I'm looking for some feedback to make sure everything is on point.
I aimed for a minimalistic design, so most parts are from NZXT. I get that not everyone loves their products, but I value having a cohesive look and solid design this time around.
This build will primarily be for heavy flight simulation (especially X-Plane 12) and playing AAA titles. Ideally, I want it to handle 4K, but high frame rates at 1440p would also work. I also dabble in video editing, but it's not the main focus.
Here's what I've got so far:
**CPU** - AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D
**Cooler** - NZXT Kraken Elite RGB (420mm)
**Motherboard** - NZXT H9 X870E
**RAM** - G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo (4x 32GB) DDR5-6000 CL30
**SSD** - Samsung 9100 Pro 1TB + Samsung 990 Pro 2TB
**GPU** - ASUS TUF GAMING OC RTX 5080
**Case** - NZXT H9 Flow
**Power Supply** - NZXT C1500
I'm upgrading from a Ryzen 9 5900X and RTX 3080 setup, which is starting to feel limiting for what I want to do. Budget isn't a major concern, but I'd prefer not to waste money chasing the last few frames.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I think you're spending a bit much on that RAM, and I would look into whether 6000 MT/s will actually run well with your CPU. Some users have reported issues with stability at that speed on Ryzen. Maybe consider doing 5200 MT/s with lower CL, so you don't run into potential compatibility troubles.

Mind elaborating on the RAM? From everything I’ve read, 6000 CL30 is the sweet spot for Ryzen 9, so what issue am I running into there?
