I'm building my first PC because my laptop is broken, and I've been looking for a good GPU to go with it. The GPU shortage has really driven prices up, and I'm trying to find something in the $900-$1000 range. Right now, I'm considering options like a used RTX 3070, a used RTX 3070 Ti, a used 6800 XT, or potentially the more pricey 7700 XT. I want to play games at 1440p, and I'm feeling a bit guilty about spending too much on the 7700 XT. Here's a link to my current build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/YVXz9C. The actual price will be lower since I'll be buying from Microcenter.

Honestly, your best bets are the 7700 XT or even a used RTX 3080. They should handle 1440p gaming really well!
If you can swing it, the 7900 XTX might fit your budget and offer great performance. Just keep in mind how much you want to spend!
Yeah, but if you’re feeling guilty about the 7700 XT's price, the 7900 XTX might be out of reach.
Gotcha! What should I be looking to pay for a decent used 3080?
