I'm currently using an Asus GTX 1080 Ti with 11GB of VRAM, and I'm considering an upgrade. My budget is around $800 CAD. At the moment, I game at 1080p, but I plan to switch to a 1440p monitor next year. What would be some good GPU options for me?

Before you decide, what other components are in your system? $800 CAD is a good budget, but your current rig needs to support modern GPUs.

You might be able to negotiate for a 5070 Ti on Facebook Marketplace; it could fit your budget.

The RTX 5070 is around $750 CAD, and the RX 9070 (non-XT) is about $800 CAD. If gaming is your main focus, I'd recommend the AMD card, especially since it comes with 16GB of VRAM, which is better for 1440p than the 12GB on the 5070.

I've heard AMD cards have a great price/performance ratio, so I might lean towards that.

What's your CPU setup like? If you're looking for something safe, I'd recommend the 5070 or possibly a 9060 XT with 16GB, depending on your CPU.

Consider checking out the B580, which is about $300 CAD and could be a budget-friendly option.
