Need budget-friendly PC upgrade recommendations

I'm in a tough spot with my current PC setup. I've been playing games like Minecraft on around 20 FPS and Subnautica at a lowly 5 FPS! I really need an upgrade because my PC struggles to even run PowerPoint for school assignments. Here's what I'm working with:

- Intel Core 2 Duo E7500
- 6GB DDR2 RAM
- No graphics card
- 1 500GB SSD and 1 500GB HDD
- Dell Optiplex 760 in poor condition

I've experienced the blue screen of death over 100 times in the past two years but somehow managed to keep my data. Sometimes it just shuts down, and I have to swap the RAM sticks around to get it working again! I know Microsoft is phasing out Windows 10 soon, and my father's not much help. Any recommendations for affordable parts or systems that would let me play Minecraft at a decent frame rate?

Honestly, your best bet is to build a new PC. Check out the buildapcforme subreddit and share your budget there. It's pretty surprising your current setup is still alive!

Yeah, I've been using a similar rig for years too. It feels like a miracle it hasn't just given up completely!
