Hey everyone! I'm reaching out for some advice and reassurance about my latest gaming PC build. This is my second time building a PC, and I want to upgrade from my first one that I put together back in 2020. My goal is to run games at 1440p with at least 60 FPS. I've created a build that comes in just under my $1800 budget and would love any input from those with more experience. Let me know if my selection looks good or if there are any changes you'd recommend before I make any purchases. I'm really open to suggestions!
Here's my current build:
- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 5 9600X with **CPU Cooler**: Noctua NH-U12S
- **Motherboard**: ASRock B850M Pro-A WiFi Micro ATX AM5
- **RAM**: Patriot Viper Venom 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30
- **Storage**: Samsung 990 Pro 2 TB M.2 NVMe SSD
- **GPU**: PNY OC GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16 GB (luckily getting it at MSRP)
- **Case**: Montech AIR 100 LITE MicroATX Mid Tower
- **Power Supply**: Corsair RM750e 750 W 80+ Gold Fully Modular
- **Total Cost**: ~ $1600

I recommend steering clear of ASRock motherboards; I've heard they can have some reliability issues. Instead, consider the MSI B850M Mortar WiFi. It's a solid choice! Also, for cooling, a Thermalright cooler can be a more budget-friendly option that performs nearly as well. You'll get good temp control without breaking the bank!
What issues have you heard about ASRock? And can you suggest a cheaper cooler that also keeps noise levels low? I want to avoid water cooling.
