Hey everyone! I'm putting together a computer for my little brother, and I'm eager to know what you think about my build. It's slightly over my budget of $3000. He's really set on a specific processor, an RTX 5080, and he insists on having at least a 2 TB SSD. Since this is my first time building a PC, any input would be great! Here's a link to the build: [PCPartPicker List](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/dMmvFZ)

Honestly, if it’s mainly for gaming, I’d recommend going with an AMD AM5 build instead. They usually offer better performance for games right now.
The CPU choice is a bit strange. Does your brother really know what he wants? That processor might not be the best for gaming. Also, your power supply seems a little underpowered for the build—850W is cutting it close.
Definitely consider discussing AMD with him! It could offer better performance for the price. And yeah, maybe look into a higher wattage power supply to avoid any issues down the line.
Thanks for the tip! I’ll chat with him about switching to AMD and upgrading the power supply.
True, I’m not sure he’s fully informed. He prefers Intel over AMD, and thinks the Ultra 9 is better than the Core i9-14900K. But I guess I need to dive deeper into the options.
