Hey everyone! I'm planning to build my first PC and would really appreciate some opinions on my current build list. I want this rig primarily for gaming (mostly RPGs and FPS sessions with my kids) and to get back into music production (mostly vocal recording and making beats using FL Studio and Studio One). My goal is to create a setup that won't need too many upgrades in the near future. Below is the list of components I've gathered after some research and chatting with someone at Micro Center. I'm open to any constructive feedback before I move on to picking out peripherals. Thanks a ton! Also, I just added the power supply to the list for completeness.

- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 9 9900X 4.4 GHz 12-Core Processor - $375.43
- **CPU Cooler**: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE ARGB - $36.90
- **Motherboard**: MSI PRO X870E-P WIFI ATX AM5 - $299.99
- **Memory**: G.Skill Flare X5 32 GB DDR5-6000 - $89.99
- **Storage**: Inland Performance Plus 2 TB NVME SSD - $131.99
- **Video Card**: PNY OC GeForce RTX 5070 12 GB - $549.99
- **Case**: Montech XR ATX Mid Tower Case - $79.89
- **Power Supply**: Corsair RM750x 750 W Fully Modular - $119.95
- **Total**: $1684.13

Just a heads up, I noticed some of your choices stemmed from bundle deals at Micro Center, which is clever! Just ensure those bundles really offer the best value in the long run. Keep an eye on component compatibility; it’ll save you headaches later! Happy building!

That's a solid build overall, but for gaming, you might want to consider a few tweaks. For example, swapping the 9900X for a 7800X3D can boost your gaming performance unless you really need those extra cores for music production. Also, look at the motherboard - the X870E is a bit overkill; a B850 could save you some cash. Additionally, 'CL36' RAM is nice, but you're better off with 'CL30' for a similar price, which might give you a bit more performance. Lastly, if possible, upgrade from the 5070 to the 5070 Ti with the savings you'll make!

You've got a good setup here, but I've got some recommendations for better value. Consider a different CPU that offers great gaming power without breaking the bank, like a different Ryzen model that maintains performance while saving some dough for other components. Double the RAM might be a good idea for your work, but watch out for the storage type! Make sure your SSD choice is durable since you plan on using it for music production.
