Need Help Building a Super Cheap PC for Gaming and Recording

I'm looking to put together a very budget-friendly PC because I don't currently have one. I live in the Philippines and have no prior experience with PC building. My main passion is creating video essays and gaming, and I want something that can run 'Hollow Knight' and 'Silksong' while recording using OBS at 1080p. My current setup is an ASUS Expertbook laptop with 477GB of storage, 16GB of RAM, and an Intel Core i5-1235U, which is decent but not enough for my needs. Luckily, my dad has some parts I can use: an AMD A8-9600 CPU, an MSI A320M PRO-VD/S motherboard, and a cooling fan. I'm aiming to spend around $200-$220 on additional parts. I know it sounds a bit crazy with rising prices, but I just want something functional to get started, hopefully better than my laptop. Can anyone recommend compatible parts for this setup?

Honestly, your current laptop setup is actually better than what you'd be getting with the A8-9600. The Intel chip you have boosts better and has more cores, making it more suited for multitasking. You might want to see how well your laptop handles things first before considering a full build.

True, the A8-9600 is pretty outdated, and you'll likely struggle to run modern games with it. Just stick with your 12th gen i5 for now!

Yeah, don't underestimate your current setup. It's better than you think, especially if you're just starting out.

I’d suggest keeping your 12th gen Intel chip. The A8-9600 was already struggling back when it was released. You'll get much better performance with what you have!

If you're looking for parts locally, check out online retailers or local sites that list current prices. It's best to know what the local market looks like to stick to your budget.
