Need Help Building My First Custom PC!

I've been using a pre-built PC for over two years, but I'm ready to dive into building my own and want it to look good too. I just bought the Hyte Y70 case and I have some components from my old setup, but I want to upgrade and improve aesthetics. So far, I've picked out an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU, 32 GB of Trident Z5 Royal Neo Series RAM (6400MT), a 1TB WD BLACK NVMe SSD, and an NZXT AIO cooler. I'm still on the hunt for a motherboard and GPU. Also, I have a power supply from my pre-built that's 500W, but I'm unsure if that's sufficient for my new components. My monitor is 75Hz and 1080p. I'm trying to stay under a $2,000 budget but I'm open to spending more for quality. I play games like Hogwarts Legacy, Minecraft, Roblox, and Fortnite, and I heavily mod some of them, so storage and performance are key for me. Any advice on what I should get for this build? I've seen a ton of differing opinions and it's stressful since my current setup works fine!

Make sure to verify that all your current parts are compatible with your new build. It’s smart to list them out on PCPartPicker before purchasing. And just to clarify, you’re set on the CPU and RAM you mentioned? Looks solid so far!

Yes, I have those in my cart, just waiting on a GPU and motherboard!

You should definitely check out pcpartpicker.com for compatibility and build suggestions! But honestly, reusing a low-end 500W PSU might not be the best idea. You might want to look into getting a new power supply that can handle your new components better.

I appreciate the tip! I wasn't sure about my PSU, so that helps.
