Need Help Choosing a Budget CPU and Motherboard for Upgrading My Prebuilt PC

I currently have a prebuilt PC with an i3 9100F and a GTX 1650 4GB, paired with a B365M PRO-VH motherboard. I'm finding that I can't upgrade the CPU beyond the 9th generation, so I'm definitely looking to swap out my motherboard as part of the upgrade. My main concerns are gaming performance—especially for gacha games like Wuthering Waves and Zenless Zone Zero—since I'm struggling with high CPU usage (80-100%) and overheating during long play sessions. Ideally, I want recommendations for a budget motherboard and CPU combo that will allow me to maintain around 75 fps at 1080p while also being able to run a browser or YouTube simultaneously. As for my budget, I haven't set one yet but I'm open to exploring the best budget options available. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

You might want to consider going for a Ryzen 7600 with a B650 motherboard. It's great for gaming, especially with games like yours that require decent single-thread performance. I also recommend getting 2x16GB of DDR5 RAM at 6000 CL30 to ensure smooth multitasking. This setup should help you hit the performance you’re aiming for without breaking the bank!

Can you explain a bit more about why the B650 is a good choice? What makes it better than other options?

Before upgrading the CPU, it might be good to check your power supply. If it's around 500-550W, make sure it can handle a new GPU if that’s your next step. Upgrading the GPU after the CPU is usually a good strategy for getting better overall performance in games.

I can't see my PSU easily either! But what wattage would you recommend for a Ryzen setup?
