Hey everyone! I'm finalizing my PC build and just need to pick out a power supply unit (PSU) now. I'm on a budget, aiming to keep it under $80 CAD (around $60 USD). My current components will require about 437 watts, so I'm considering a 550W, 600W, or maybe even a 650W PSU. Based on what I found, a C-tier unit should be fine. I'm looking for your firsthand recommendations on reliable PSUs you've used or heard about, and it would be great to know which ones to avoid too. Thanks a ton! Consider checking out this PSU: [link](https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/mnVmP6/msi-mag-a550bn-550-w-80-bronze-certified-atx-power-supply-mag-a550bn). It’s decent, but I'd suggest spending an extra $10 for the 650W version for better efficiency later.
Honestly, I recommend raising your budget a little to $80-$90 USD. A 550W PSU might not be enough for your build; I suggest aiming for 750W-850W instead to be safe. You don't want to risk it with a cheaper PSU!
Thanks for the tip! I’ll definitely look into that model. I added my component list to the post for further clarity.
