Hey everyone! My old CPU just gave up on me, and I'm diving into building a new PC. I'm on a bit of a budget, so I'm planning to stick with my old RTX 2080 Super for now, but I'm eyeing an upgrade to a 5070 or 5070 TI down the road.
Right now, I'm really focusing on selecting the right CPU and motherboard. Here's what I'm looking at: the AMD Ryzen 7 7700X and 7800X3D are both around $420, while the 9800X3D is about $640. There's also a sale for the 9700X for $355.
As a side note, I'm a huge Monster Hunter fan, and I suspect that's part of the reason my last CPU bit the dust. My budget for this is pretty much capped at $420, but I can stretch it by about $300 if necessary.
I'd really appreciate any thoughts on this setup or potential issues I should be aware of since I'm new to this. Thanks in advance for your help!

Honestly, you might not need a 1000W power supply for your setup. 850W would likely do just fine. Also, consider getting an AIO cooler instead of air cooling; it'll keep things quieter and more efficient!
Thanks for the tip! I'll check out some AIO coolers and see if I can save a bit on the power supply.
Yeah, 850W should be plenty! Plus, with your ATX case, you might not need a fully modular power supply. They're usually better suited for smaller cases and tend to cost more.
