I'm looking to upgrade my old PC, which has a 1060 3GB, and it's struggling with today's games, especially on my 1440p ultrawide monitor. I'm in Sweden, where the graphics card market is a bit crazy with high prices. The cards I'm considering are the 9060 XT (16 GB) for 4200 SEK, the RTX 5070 for 6000 SEK, and the 9070 XT for 8000 SEK. I want a card that can handle the latest games at good settings for years, but I'm also mindful of getting good value. Can anyone suggest which one I should go for?

Considering you're gaming at 1440p, I’d recommend the 9070 XT. It's built for that resolution and should last you a long time without needing a replacement. Also, if you're planning on playing demanding games, it’ll definitely deliver better performance than the others. Just keep in mind, there might be better options as prices stabilize.

Is it really that much better than the 5070 though?

Yeah, the 9070 XT is a solid choice for longevity!

Honestly, if the price difference is manageable, I’d lean towards getting an NVIDIA card. I’m on a 7800 XT and really miss features like DLSS and Reflex, which can enhance gaming experience a lot. So if you see a good deal for the 70 Ti, it might be worth considering too.

Yeah, I found a 70 Ti for 9000 SEK, but that feels too steep for me.

That does seem like a big jump! Maybe better with a 5070 or the 9060 instead.

If you're hesitant about spending so much, the 9060 XT is actually a great option because of its VRAM size. It should handle most games well for a while, especially if you don't mind scaling down some settings. Plus, you'll save a bit of cash in the process!
