Need Help Choosing Between Graphics Cards for My New PC Build

I'm planning to build a new PC with a budget of around $2500, and I'm almost set on everything except for the graphics card. I'm considering an i9-14900K for the CPU, but want to ensure I pair it with a strong enough GPU to avoid wasting CPU performance. I'd like to stick with Nvidia since I occasionally use my desktop for CAD and programming, which tend to work better with their cards. The best current-generation GPU in my budget seems to be the 5070ti, but I'm wondering if an older model like the 3080ti might be a better option. I appreciate any advice!

The 5070ti definitely outperforms the 3080ti overall. It's built on a newer architecture, has faster memory speeds, and offers more bandwidth. Plus, with your powerful CPU, upgrading to the 5070ti would really enhance your build's performance. Just remember to check and update your BIOS to at least microcode version 0x12_ to avoid any voltage stability issues with your CPU.

I see your point! For CAD work, having the latest GPU is helpful, but I also think a 5800x3d processor with faster DDR4 RAM might work better for those needs.
