I'm looking to upgrade my PC and have a few GPU options in mind. Right now, I can get the RTX 4070 for about 400€, the RX 7800 XT for 460€, or the RTX 5070 for 560€. The 4070 is the only one that isn't under warranty. I'm stuck deciding between the lower VRAM but better DLSS features of the 4070 and the RX 7800 XT, which offers more VRAM and FSR 3. I currently game at 1080p but plan to upgrade to 1440p in the future. Any advice would be appreciated!

The 5070 is basically offering you 20% more performance for around the same percentage increase in price, so it seems like a good value. Sure, VRAM may be low, but for 1080p or even 1440p gaming, it shouldn't be much of an issue. I'd pick the 5070 if I were you!
Definitely consider the 7800 XT. I had an RTX 3070 before, and after switching to 7800 XT, I haven't looked back. No issues at all with it - the performance is solid!
Personally, I lean towards the RX 7800 XT over the 4070. But when comparing it to the 5070, benchmarks show that the 5070 is about 28-31% faster on average, although it's 21% pricier. If you can snag a 4070 Super for 400€, it's only about 9% slower than the 5070 and 20% faster than the 7800 XT, which might be a sweet spot!
I'd say go for the 5070 – it's simply the best option here! The performance increase seems worth the extra cost.
I had a great experience with the RX 7800 XT. I got it a few months back and it’s been performing really well for me. Don’t stress too much about FSR 3 if you choose the 7800 XT; in many games, you can use XESS upscaling, which often outperforms FSR.
Oh, I didn’t know about XESS! What about FSR 4?
Yeah, I get that, but is the 5070 a better long-term investment?
