Hey everyone! I've finally built my PC and now I need to choose a new monitor. I'm considering the Dell Alienware AW2725DM (2025) and the MSI G274QPF E2 (2024). The Dell monitor has a 2.1 HDMI output (compatible with my RTX 5060 Ti), and I can get a matching 2.1 HDMI cable for it. The MSI is very similar but uses a 2.0b connection instead. Just to give you a heads-up, 2.1 offers 48 GBPS while 2.0 is only 18 GBPS. Pricing-wise, the Dell is 13,000 TL while the MSI is priced at 9,300 TL. I've spent a total of 69,000 TL on my PC, and I'm wondering if the Dell is really worth that much extra money or if I should just go with the MSI – will I really notice a difference? Just for context, my daily wage is 1,250 TL, so I'd love some solid advice that takes that into consideration!

Definitely check out reviews before making a final decision. I find that Rtings has great reviews, but they might not cover these exact models. If you can, use a DisplayPort cable instead of HDMI; it offers better refresh rates and you won't have to worry about HDMI specs. Yes, the Dell has some cool features, but I've seen people say it's not worth the extra money. Stick with MSI, and invest in a good DisplayPort cable instead!
I'd go with the MSI, honestly. The price difference is pretty significant, and for most uses, 2.0 is still perfectly fine. You're unlikely to notice much difference in everyday gaming or work tasks unless you're doing something very specific that requires 2.1. Plus, you can always save that extra cash for other accessories or upgrades later on!
Hey, just to add to what others have said, people often emphasize the specs, but remember that brand and support also matter. Dell typically offers better customer service, but is it worth the price hike for a monitor? If you're gaming and casual use is all you're after, the MSI is a solid pick. You can invest the savings into something else for your rig.
That's a valid point! Customer support can really make a difference if something goes wrong.

Thanks for the recommendation! I appreciate the heads-up about using DisplayPort. I’ll look into that.
