I'm trying to pick a motherboard for my gaming PC build, and honestly, I'm feeling pretty overwhelmed with all the brands and chipsets out there. I want to keep my budget between $250 and $375, and since I'm coming from a PS5, I'm not looking to do any overclocking or fancy modifications. My top priority is quality since this will be mainly a gaming machine. I also plan to add an extra SSD later for more storage.

If you're looking for something solid, check out the B850 Aorus or the MSI Tomahawk Max. Those are good value in your price range. Just make sure you know if you really need features like Gen 5 NVMe, or if they will actually help in gaming beyond a certain point.

I thought Gen 5 NVMe was worth it, but is it really that impactful for gaming?
