Hey everyone! I'm in the process of setting up a Corsair RMe Series 1000w power supply, but I noticed it only comes with two PCIe cables. Since I'm not planning on using a splitter with my 3080 Ti, I actually need three cables. Their website has me a bit confused about what I should order. Can anyone help me figure out the correct cables I need to purchase? I really want to avoid any issues that might come from getting the wrong ones. Thanks a lot!

You should be fine with three PCIe cables on your PSU. I have the 850w model myself, and it came with three separate cables, possibly even four. For a 3080 Ti, using one of those pigtail setups is often okay too. The 3080 Ti has a power rating of only about 350 watts, meaning it should handle the load just fine even with a couple of cables. But honestly, double-check what’s included with your specific model just in case!
Why not consider the Corsair RM1000x (2024 version)? It’s not too much more, and it comes with four PCIe connectors. Plus, it has a better noise rating and an extended warranty. This way, you're set if you plan on upgrading to a more powerful GPU in the future! Just a thought!
