Hey everyone, I just got a bonus at work, and I'm using it to snag an RTX 5090 and an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D for my new PC build. It's been over five years since I built my first rig, so I'm feeling a bit behind the times, especially when it comes to picking out the other components. I'm looking for advice mainly on the motherboard, but I'm also open to suggestions for a cooler and a power supply. I plan on using the storage from my old computer, so that's not a concern. Also, do you think it would be smart to wait for Black Friday to buy the GPU and CPU? Thanks for your help!

I'm using the X870 Tomahawk, and it’s solid! If you're thinking about high-end options, the E variant is a great pick. As for a power supply, check out this one: MSI A1000G, it's reliable and should have plenty of power for your setup. For cooling, you really can't go wrong with the Phantom Spirit 120 SE unless you plan to overclock like crazy—you don’t need anything fancier than that.
Just curious, how big is your bonus? If you're ready to splurge, you could match everything with a sleek all-white theme. Check out options like the Thermaltake GF3 1200W power supply or the GIGABYTE X870 AORUS ELITE motherboard; they look fantastic! Oh, and if you're going all out, the ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III Pro 360 AIO cooler is top of the line, though it could be more than you need!
I recently got the MSI MPG X870E CARBON WIFI for my build, and I love it. Just a heads up though, my box had been opened when I got it, but it was still in perfect condition. You might want to check out similar listings if you're looking to save a bit!
I've bought from eBay too, and while you can find decent deals, just be cautious. Always ask for additional pictures if possible to verify the product's legit.
All that sounds awesome, but it might be complete overkill unless you're planning to do some serious gaming or content creation!
