I'm really struggling to set up an Apple account. I'm new to the Apple world and planning to buy an iPad soon. The problem is, I had an Apple account linked to my childhood email, but now I'm using that email for a free Apple Music trial on my Android phone. I can't recover my old account because it was associated with my grandfather's phone number, which is now inactive and forgotten. So, I tried to create a new account with my own email and phone number, but I keep hitting a wall at the phone number verification step. It says my account can't be created right now. It's really frustrating, especially since I can't find any live chat support to talk to someone about this. I'm hoping someone here can help me figure this out!

Have you tried going directly to appleid.apple.com? That should lead you to the account setup, and you can start the process from there.
You might want to check out their support page. They do have chat and phone options, but sometimes it's hard to access based on your region. Here's a link, but do note that it might not be available everywhere: https://getsupport.apple.com/solutions/chat.
If all else fails, definitely consider contacting Apple support directly. They might be able to help you resolve the account creation issue.
Also, you can visit account.apple.com and look for the 'Create Your Apple Account' option. That might help if you haven't tried that yet!
I tried that link, but it just redirected me to their main support page without any options for my area.
