I'm trying to download Linux on an old ASUS Chromebook because I can't update or install anything due to Google blocking it. I went on my Dell PC with Windows 11 to download Linux onto a blank USB drive using BitTorrent and Ubuntu. However, when I tried using Rufus to burn the ISO onto the USB, I ran into an issue. It gave me an error saying 'Unable to assign a drive letter' when I tried both ISO and DD options. Am I doing something wrong, or could it be an issue with my computers?

Be careful when changing any BIOS settings or disk setups, as it could potentially lead to data loss. Always make sure to backup your data before proceeding with those changes! You might want to check our FAQ for common issues too.
It sounds like you're using Ubuntu's BitTorrent version. Just to clarify, do you know which specific model your Chromebook is? It's important since older models might have unique quirks when it comes to installation.
What Linux version did you download, and what’s not working specifically? If you have screenshots, those could help. Also, what model is your Chromebook? Knowing that could give us better insights into any potential issues.
