Need Help Finalizing My First PC Build!

I'm transitioning from a broken laptop to my first custom PC build, but I'm a bit lost since I don't have much knowledge about computers. I've started gathering some components, but I could really use some advice on whether what I have is solid and what else I should add to stay within my budget of $1500 to $1800, ideally leaning towards more affordable options. Here's the link to my current build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/tR6MKq

I made some tweaks to your build so it fits closer to the $1500 mark. Check it out: [https://pcpartpicker.com/list/TXzKb2](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/TXzKb2). You could still go with a decent air cooler and boost your storage to 2TB without going over budget.

If there's a Micro Center nearby, you could score some of those parts for less. Just a heads-up!

Have you thought about whether you want to build it yourself or go for a prebuilt option? A prebuilt might save you stress, especially if you're new to this and worried about making mistakes.

Looking at your list, you might want to consider switching out that liquid cooler for an air cooler like the Thermalright Assassin, which performs well without breaking the bank. Also, increasing your storage to 2TB is a good idea—1TB can fill up quickly. You might save a bit on the motherboard too, without sacrificing too much quality.

Totally agree, I’m using the Thermalright Burst Assassin with my CPU, and it keeps things cool just fine! Liquid cooling feels like overkill for a lot of builds.

If you're flexible with your budget and can stretch closer to $1800, consider upgrading your GPU to something like the Hellhound 9070XT. Here's what I put together for you: [PCPartPicker Part List](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/GNhPLc). It's a solid setup for gaming and productivity!

Good point! Just remember to factor in other gear like a keyboard and monitor if you’re considering this upgrade.
