I've got an interview coming up where they want me to make a contribution to an open-source project as part of the initial screening. I want to do this right, but time is tight. I'm a MERN stack developer with experience in MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js. I'd love to find some beginner-friendly projects where I can tackle bugs, add small features, or help with documentation. If anyone knows of any repositories that welcome contributions, especially with easy issues to start with, I'd really appreciate your help!

Check out this project I worked on: [samarium](https://github.com/oitcode/samarium). It’s an open-source business management tool for small businesses, and I'm open to contributions. There are plenty of ways to get involved, and I’d be more than happy to help you get started if you have any questions!
There are tons of resources online that list beginner-friendly issues. Just look for curated sites that filter issues based on difficulty. You can also browse through GitHub’s own repositories for good first issues. You’ll find something for sure—good luck with your interview!
That’s a pretty intense requirement! Normally, contributions are great to have but making them mandatory seems a bit much. You might consider starting your own open-source project if you can, but that would be quite a task on short notice! Good luck!
Thanks for the suggestion! But they specifically want me to contribute to existing projects.
