I just bought a used Xbox 360e, but it won't turn on properly. I completely took it apart, cleaned all the dust off the parts, reapplied thermal paste, and reassembled it, but I'm still getting a problem. When I press the power button, the cable light turns green initially, but the power button goes green for just a second before switching to blinking red. After that, the fan runs for about five seconds and then stops, causing the power button LEDs to go off. I even checked the monitor, and it did the same thing whether it was plugged in or not. I'm really stuck and could use some advice on what might be wrong.

Did you buy it in working condition? Sometimes these deals can be a bit sketchy. If it was sold to you saying it worked fine, maybe the seller had it malfunctioning already. Just be careful in the future when buying used consoles!
Sounds like your Xbox might be showing the infamous red ring of death. That's a common issue with older models. You might wanna check if it's a hardware problem, as the red lights typically indicate overheating or hardware failure. If you’re comfortable doing DIY repairs, there are some guides online to help you, but if not, it might be worth taking it to a repair shop.
