I'm trying to install Linux Mint on my older laptop and so far I managed to boot from a USB drive. I'm looking to install it permanently and remove Windows. The installer is asking me to allocate 7.9 GB for something, but I'm not sure how to arrange the free space I have available (around 102856 MB). Additionally, I'm facing a problem with WiFi since the 'Wireless' option isn't showing up. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If you're planning to remove Windows and use your entire hard drive for Linux Mint, the installer has a guided installation option. This feature can automatically partition your drive, format everything, and set up swap space without you needing to do anything manually. It sounds like the easiest route for you, so I recommend selecting that option during installation.
That's what I want to do, but the installer is still prompting me to find space for that 7.9 GB before it lets me proceed.
