Need Help Installing My NVMe SSD into an Enclosure

I'm struggling to get my new Crucial P3 1TB NVMe SSD to fit into a UGREEN NVMe SSD enclosure. No matter what I do, it just won't slide into the slot. I've applied a bit of pressure, but it still won't go in. I've successfully installed an NVMe SSD in a desktop before, and it was easy. I really need to clone a drive ASAP, so I'm kind of stressed about this. I've attached some pics here: [https://imgur.com/a/acizrmm](https://imgur.com/a/acizrmm).

The enclosure is labeled as M/M+B, and I noticed some pins are soldered together where the break in the PCB would be, but I'm not sure if that should affect installation. The enclosure is the right size for my SSD and claims compatibility with the Crucial P3 drive.

Thanks in advance for any guidance!

Just double-check that you didn’t accidentally buy a SATA NVMe drive instead of an M.2 NVMe one. That would definitely cause fitting issues. If it looks right, just try applying a little extra force at the connector while holding the plastic part to avoid breaking it.

Wow, that tip really helped! I finally got it in by holding it near the connector and being more assertive. Thanks a ton!

It sounds like that enclosure should work with your SSD. Have you tried inserting the SSD at a 45-degree angle? Sometimes that makes it easier to get it in without too much force.

I tried that, but it didn't help. I was trying to mimic how my SSD was secured in my motherboard's slot. No luck.
