Hey everyone! I have an upcoming exam in Operating Systems focused on scripting, and I'm feeling pretty overwhelmed. Bash is definitely not my strong suit, and with my busy schedule as a night student and family responsibilities, I really struggle to find time to study. Thankfully, my professor is really chill and allows us to use online resources during the exam. I'm curious if anyone has tips on how I can utilize tools like GPT to help me get through this exam since I want to avoid failing. He mentioned that while using these tools is fine, submitting identical scripts would lead to failing both students, so I'm looking for guidance on how to create something unique. Any advice would be great!

Honestly, do you have at least some basic understanding of programming? It seems like you’re looking for a way to pass without the necessary knowledge. Relying on AI to write scripts might not be a good idea, as it can take longer to explain your needs than to learn them yourself. Plus, scripting depends a lot on understanding how the OS works, which you risk missing out on if you just try to cheat your way through. Maybe talk to your family about finding some study time instead.
I get your point, but I feel like that's exactly why they're allowing AI use in the exam. They might not be that helpful in the end, but they sure can help with quick references if you know what you're doing!
