I've been trying to regain access to some old Microsoft accounts I set up years ago. One is a hotmail account that's over 20 years old, and the other is about 10 years old. They both have silly usernames, so I created a new one that I use for everything important in my life now. Lately, I found out that my old Xbox account is linked to one of these email addresses, but when I tried to log in, it got locked. I attempted to recover it by sending a security code to its backup email, which happens to be the oldest account that's also locked! Microsoft's recovery process isn't working for me since they're asking for email contacts from ages ago and won't accept my identity verification. Is there any way to talk to a real person to help with this? Plus, if I eventually get access, how do I get rid of these old accounts? Do I really need to update every old service?

I can't help with your account issue, but for the future, you can create multiple email aliases for your Microsoft account! This lets you choose which one is primary without having to start from scratch with a new account. It makes things way easier to manage.
That sounds great! How do I set up these aliases? I have a hotmail account that looks really unprofessional, but I can't get rid of it because it's tied to so many things.
