I'm looking to upgrade my gaming PC but I'm pretty new to this whole building thing. Currently, I have an AMD Ryzen 3 3200G CPU with integrated Radeon Vega Graphics, an A320M-A-PRO motherboard, 16GB of Corsair Vengeance DDR4 RAM, a 1TB Crucial T500 SSD, a 4GB 1050Ti GPU with a single fan, and a Corsair CX500 power supply. I use a 100hz MSi monitor and my budget for upgrades is around $300. Mostly, I play CS2, so I need to make sure the new parts are compatible. Any suggestions?

Upgrading to a 9060XT 8GB would be a straightforward option for you. It would give a significant boost for gaming, especially in CS2. However, if you want to get the most performance, also consider upgrading your CPU, which would improve your FPS significantly. Just make sure the parts are compatible with your motherboard!
My friends mentioned that if I upgrade anything, my motherboard might need an upgrade too. Is that true?
I'll also need to check if my power supply can handle the new GPU!
If you update your motherboard's BIOS to version 7C51v194 (it's a beta version), you can use a 5800XT, which would be an excellent upgrade for CS2 since it's more CPU-bound. This upgrade fits well within your budget as long as you’re in the USA. After that, keep an eye out for a used GPU and possibly a new power supply for better performance!
Definitely think about upgrading your CPU first. Sometimes it's the bottleneck in gaming performance, especially in titles like CS2. You might find that this upgrade gets you the FPS boost you’re looking for without needing to swap out your GPU right away. Just double-check that any new parts are compatible with your existing setup!

Do you really think a new GPU will solve my FPS issues? Right now, I get around 70-100 FPS in CS2 but it sometimes drops lower. Will my current motherboard work with the new GPU you mentioned?
