Need Help with a Frustrating Windows 11 Installation Loop

I've built a new PC, and I'm having a terrible time trying to get everything running smoothly. My setup includes 32GB of Trident Z Royal RAM, an MSI B760P motherboard, an RTX 5070 GPU, and an Intel i5 12600KF processor. I started with an NVMe M.2 SSD and added another larger NVMe drive. I ran into issues when trying to download Fortnite onto my 2TB NVMe; it kept resetting the download progress back to 0% after reaching about 70%. I moved my PC around to connect it directly to Ethernet, hoping for better speeds, but things just got worse. I also had to keep redownloading my drivers, and my PC would randomly crash with a black screen. After hearing that my Windows installation on the 500GB SSD might be corrupted, I tried to reinstall Windows 11 using a USB I created from a prebuilt PC. Now, I'm stuck in this annoying loop where the installation keeps failing. I really need help to get Windows 11 installed properly so I can finally use my new build!

It sounds like you're facing a tough time with that installation loop! First off, let's simplify things. Have you tried removing the 2TB SSD temporarily and just using the 500GB SSD for the installation? Boot from the USB installer, delete any existing partitions on the 500GB drive, and then install Windows on the unallocated space. This can sometimes clear up issues that lead to those annoying installation loops.

Yeah, I feel your pain with the download issues too! Alongside addressing that installation loop, ensure all your sources for installing games are updated. Sometimes, issues with the operating system can affect how applications behave. Once you get Windows up and running, it should help with those game downloads as well!

Take a breather! It’s understandable to feel overwhelmed. Right now, focus on the Windows installation issue. You might want to disconnect any additional drives before you boot from the USB installer. If the 500GB SSD is your main drive, make sure to format it correctly and aim for a clean installation by deleting all partitions first. Make sure you're using the latest USB installer version too!
