Hey everyone, I'm having a frustrating issue with micro stuttering when playing certain games like Minecraft (both Windows 10 and Java versions), War Thunder, and Fortnite. Here are my specs:
- MSI B850 Tomahawk Max WiFi Motherboard
- NVIDIA RTX 5080
- AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
- 32GB DDR5 RAM
I've run tests on my CPU, GPU, memory, and storage, and everything checks out fine. I've messed around with a lot of settings too—turned overlays on and off, changed every in-game setting imaginable, adjusted power settings, rolled back my drivers, updated my BIOS, tweaked RAM frequencies, and made sure all the necessary chipset drivers are installed. Oddly enough, games like Call of Duty, Battlefield 2042, and Cyberpunk run smoothly on max settings without any issues. I'm at a loss here and would really appreciate any advice or recommendations. Thanks!

I was wondering the same about the performance impact of disabling EXPO. It seems counterintuitive since everything should work fine with clean installs. If the other games run well, maybe it's just those particular games that have issues with your setup.
Have you tried disabling the WiFi? I've seen that help some folks with similar stuttering issues. Also, check if you installed Windows and drivers with EXPO disabled; it can make a difference. You mentioned RAM frequency, but have you looked at the RAM latency too? If you're using something like 6000CL30, sometimes slowing it down to 5600CL28 can improve things too.
Yeah, definitely check the RAM latency—it's super important for stability. Also, don't forget to verify that your RAM timings are optimal. Sometimes, they can be the hidden culprit behind these kinds of performance issues.
