Need Help with RAM Issues During POST

I'm not entirely new to building PCs, but I may have rushed this latest setup a bit. Here's what I'm working with: Intel 12700KF CPU, 2 x 16GB G.Skill DDR5 6000 RAM, TUF Gaming B760 WiFi Plus motherboard, PNY 4070 Ti, and a 1TB M.2 SSD.

The problem is that my PC only POSTS when I use one RAM stick in any slot. As soon as I try to add the second stick for dual-channel, it fails to POST. I have verified both RAM sticks in all available slots, and they only work individually.

I checked the ASUS compatibility list, and I don't see my RAM model listed, though I found other kits from G.Skill. The specific RAM I have is F5-6000J3636F16GX2-TZ5S. I turned on XMP, which was off by default. A friend mentioned that since the 12700KF supports a maximum of 4800MHz, my 6000MHz RAM might not be compatible. I'd appreciate a second opinion on this! Thanks!

Just to clarify, do both sticks work on their own in any slot? Or does each stick only work with certain slots?

Each stick works by itself, but adding the second stick causes the system not to POST.

I noticed that the RAM part number isn't supported on the 12th gen CPUs, but only on the 13th and 14th gen. That could be a significant factor in your issue, although some folks say it can still work sometimes.

I see, but does that definitively mean it won’t work? Just trying to confirm!

It might help to reseat your CPU again. Sometimes a connection that's not quite right can cause this issue. Give it another go and see if it changes anything!

I tried reseating it but will give it another shot. Thanks for the suggestion!

Your RAM should technically still work at the slower speed of 4800MHz if that's what the CPU supports. But you should ensure that both RAM sticks are identical and from the same kit to avoid compatibility issues. Did you check that?

I ordered them as a kit, so they should match. The last digits on the serial number are 1801 and 1802.
