I'm looking for advice on choosing a budget gaming headset for my fiancé's birthday gift. He's a big gamer and usually plays single-player games on PC, but recently he's shown interest in a multiplayer game called Arc Raiders. I've been researching headsets for over a week and could really use some help! My budget is around £50, but I can stretch it a bit if needed. Here are the features I'm looking for: comfortable for long gaming sessions (especially with glasses), simple to use, decent mic and audio quality, wired to avoid lag, and a bit durable since we have a cat that occasionally causes mayhem. I've narrowed down a few options like the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 1 and HyperX Cloud series, but I keep finding mixed reviews, and I'm worried about making the wrong choice. Any specific recommendations or insights would be super helpful!

I'd recommend going with a HyperX headset, like the Cloud series. They offer fantastic sound quality for the price. The Cloud Alphas, in particular, are a step up from the older Cloud 2. They also come with both leather and cloth ear cushions for comfort during longer sessions. I've had mine for years, and they’re really durable, too! Just be aware that the leather can get uncomfortable after a while, but the cloth cups are a lifesaver!

Thanks for the tip! Do you think I should go for the Cloud 2 or the Cloud Alpha? And I love that they come with two types of ear cups!
