Hey everyone! I've been using Fedora for about a year now, specifically versions 42 and 43. Unfortunately, I've been facing a pretty annoying issue where I randomly get logged out of my session, and all my work gets lost. It's incredibly frustrating having to reopen all my applications repeatedly.
Here are my laptop specs:
- Model: HP OMEN Gaming Laptop 16-xd0xxx
- RAM: 16.0 GiB
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS with Radeon 780M Graphics
- Additional Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU
I'm currently looking for a more stable GNOME-based operating system. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

You might want to check out Pop!_OS. It comes with NVIDIA drivers included, which could be a big plus for your setup!
Kubuntu 25.10 is worth a shot too. It's user-friendly and runs quite well.
If you're looking for stability, I'd recommend trying Debian. It's known for being solid and reliable!
I'll definitely give that a try!
Definitely consider Ubuntu! It's Debian-based, easy to set up, and very stable. Mint and Zorin are also excellent alternatives that can give you a similar experience to Windows.
ZorinOS is another good option. It's easy to use and supports Windows applications through WINE. Plus, it has a nice design that many find appealing.
That sounds like a good choice!
I'd go with Linux Mint using the Cinnamon desktop! It's user-friendly and quite stable for daily tasks.

That's a great choice, but it might be a bit complex for beginners. I'd suggest Ubuntu or Mint instead; both have worked well for me!
