I'm having a tough time getting new users to log into Windows 11 at my community college. Cached users can log in without issues, but whenever a new user tries to sign in with their username and password, it starts to authenticate but then just hangs on the welcome screen for hours. I found and uninstalled the update KB5074109, thinking it might be the problem, and I also tried installing KB5077744, but that didn't help either. We're running both ThreatLocker and SentinelOne on these machines, but SentinelOne reassured me that their products shouldn't have compatibility problems anymore. I'm really at a loss here and could use any advice or troubleshooting tips!

Have you tried logging in with an admin account? Check if it’s accepting the admin password correctly. Also, try to ping the DC by both IP and hostname. If you can't reach the DC, that could explain the login issues.
In my experience, slow logins can often relate to the default user profile not being set up properly. If you’re feeling adventurous, consider resetting the entire machine instead of trying to fix all the settings individually. Just back up any user data first!
If your system is joined to Entra, take a look at the work accounts settings. Sometimes the connection status can give you clues as to what might not be working right.
Honestly, keep a close eye on security software like SentinelOne. They have a habit of blocking essential processes without warning. Try logging into a fresh Windows environment without any security agents installed to see if that helps.
It could be a directory issue. Make sure to check your domain controllers and see if they're having authentication problems. Sometimes it’s just a network hiccup that's preventing users from getting through to the DC. Start by pinging the DC server to see if there’s any connectivity issue.
