No Sound After Windows 11 Update – Help Needed!

Hey everyone! I'm having a frustrating issue with my MSI Prestige 15 A10SC laptop after a recent Windows 11 update that happened automatically while I was shutting it down. Since the update, I can't find any output devices for sound. I tried downloading the audio driver from MSI's official site, but nothing seems to work. I'm at my wits' end here – does anyone have any solutions or suggestions? I'll include screenshots in the comments that might help illustrate the problem.

I noticed in your screenshots that you might have some weird device configurations after the update. Try doing a full system reset if nothing else works—just keep your files. That could bring everything back to normal without losing your data.

Another thought is to check your BIOS settings. Sometimes updates can mess with those and lead to issues with audio devices. Just make sure you have a backup of your data before making any changes, okay?

Have you tried checking the Control Panel under sound settings? Sometimes, devices can get disabled after an update, so you might just need to re-enable them. If that doesn’t help, consider going into Device Manager, uninstalling the Realtek audio device, and checking the option to delete the drivers. Then reboot your laptop and reinstall the drivers again. It might solve the issue!

I had a similar problem, and it worked! Just be sure to keep an eye on the settings after the reinstall; sometimes they like to reset.
