Hey folks, I just installed my ONIX B580 and I'm seeking some advice. I've got 32 GB of DDR4 RAM, a Ryzen 7 3700X, and I'm on a B550-A PRO motherboard. I upgraded from a GTX 1660, and honestly, I'm a bit underwhelmed so far. The games I've played haven't seen much improvement and seem to be coming with some annoying issues. For instance, while playing Deadlock, I've noticed strange graphical artifacts and my FPS keeps fluctuating. I also tried Arena Breakout and faced consistent stuttering. Overall, I've tested about 5-6 games and while there have been no major crashes, the small problems are quite frustrating, especially since the old 1660 didn't give me these headaches. I've ensured that I have ReBAR enabled, PCIE 4.0 set up, and I did a proper DDU uninstall along with BIOS and chipset driver updates. I really want to enjoy this card but at the moment, it's not happening. I picked up the ONIX bundle on Newegg and even snagged BF6 for free. Should I stress test this card to check if there's an issue, or would it be better to consider returning it for something else? I would greatly appreciate any advice! Thanks!

It sounds like you might be experiencing a CPU bottleneck rather than a GPU issue, especially if you're playing at lower resolutions and trying to boost FPS. Stuttering can often be a sign of that. You might want to check out this article on CPU vs GPU limitations to get a better understanding.
I agree with the previous comment. Your CPU may hold you back since the B580 isn't performing as expected. I've seen issues with driver overhead when using Intel ARC with older CPUs, which can lead to worse performance compared to older cards like the 1660 Ti. If that's the case, you might want to consider returning the GPU for a stronger Nvidia or AMD option instead.
Thanks for the insight! I’ll definitely look into returning it for a more capable card. Any suggestions for what would pair nicely?
That's really enlightening! What would you say is a good GPU choice that would match well with my current Ryzen 7 3700X? I really don’t want to upgrade my CPU right now.
