Nvidia vs AMD: Which Graphics Card Should I Choose for My New PC?

I'm currently building a PC and need some advice on picking a graphics card. I've got a Ryzen 7 5800X processor, 16 GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD. My budget for the graphics card is around €300, but I'm torn between the Nvidia 3060 and the AMD 7600 XT. The 3060 doesn't seem to hold up at max graphics for some games, typically hitting 60-70 fps, and I'm worried it might not last more than 1-2 years. Any suggestions on which card I should go with or alternatives?

Honestly, with a €300 budget, you might want to reconsider your expectations. The 3060 is more of an entry-level card now and might struggle with high settings. If you can swing a bit more, the RX 9060 XT 16GB is a solid option (around €370). Otherwise, keep an eye out for a used 2080 Ti—good performance for a reasonable price!

You're right to be cautious about the 3060; it's a bit dated at this point. While it has 12GB of VRAM, which is good for longevity, the performance can dip with newer titles. If you're looking for something that’ll last longer, seriously consider the RX 9060 XT; it could be a better investment for your needs.

Thanks for the input! I'm really leaning towards the 9060 XT. Just don’t want to miss out on RTX capabilities.
