Optimizing Airflow for My New PC Build

I'm gearing up to build a new computer, and I know the timing isn't ideal, but it's happening! I'm a bit confused about setting up the airflow. My case has room for seven fans, and I'm planning to fill six of those spots. I'm considering making the top fans exhaust while having the rest as intake (two on the sides and two on the bottom). Will this configuration work without causing cooling issues?

That setup should work just fine! A lot of people tend to overthink airflow. As long as you have air moving in and out of the case, you should be okay. Just play around with the fan speeds a bit to find the right mix of sound and cooling performance, and you'll be all set!

Okay sounds good to me!

Your plan sounds solid. If you have three top-mounted exhaust fans, pairing them with an AIO cooler will work great. I have mine set to run slowly—about 30% on exhaust and 40% on intake. The noise levels are good, and when my CPU heats up to 60°C, the fans ramp up to 60% without being too loud. This setup has given me a good balance during regular tasks and gaming, as the cooler does most of the heavy lifting, and the air circulation keeps everything cool.

That makes sense!

What CPU are you planning to use, and what kind of cooler do you have? The type of case matters too, whether it’s a fish tank design or a standard front-mounted fan setup.

I'm going with a Thermalright 240mm AIO cooler for a Ryzen 7 9700X, and yeah, the case is the fish tank style.
