I've been trying to create a USB installer for Linux Mint but keep running into issues. I get this annoying error with Etcher: Error(0, requestMetadata) is not a function. Plus, Rufus just won't work on my Windows 10 machines. Are there any other tools I can use to create this installation USB?

Have you tried running Rufus as an Administrator? That might fix the issue you're having.

Honestly, a quick search online found me over ten different software options to help. If you're interested, here's a link with a list of bootable USB software: https://recoverit.wondershare.fr/usb-tips/bootable-usb-software.html. Just saying, it's always good to check for solutions before asking!

You mentioned Rufus doesn't run on your Windows 10 machines, but it works fine for me. What's the issue when you try to start it? Are you getting an error message?

I just get a pop-up saying it can't start. Not sure what's wrong, but it looks like I need to troubleshoot my system.

You might want to try using Fedora Media Writer; it's my go-to tool for directly writing images. Another great option is Ventoy, which lets you create multi-ISO USB drives easily!
