Hey everyone! I'm experiencing a weird issue with Outlook Classic 64-bit (Version 2510) on Windows 11 (23H2). When I right-click and choose Send to -> Mail recipient, nothing happens at all. No errors or Outlook windows pop up, and I don't see anything in the event log. I've already checked that Outlook is set as my default mail client, and verified that the necessary MAPI DLLs (mapi32.dll, MSMAPI32.dll, OLMAPI32.dll) are present and loaded. The problem persists whether Outlook is running or not. I even tried the AlwaysUseLegacyMapiRegistration registry key, but it didn't help. Interestingly, the same command works fine on an older 32-bit version of Outlook on a similar Windows 11 setup. While using ProcMon, I could see the MAPI DLLs loading, but the handoff to Outlook seems to fail. Is anyone else experiencing this issue with recent 64-bit builds?

This is working fine for me. Maybe not what you want to hear, but I'm using Microsoft 365 Outlook (Version 2511 Build 16.0.19426.20186) 64-bit. Have you checked your settings or compared them to this version? It might be something else entirely, not the software itself.
I can confirm that the "Send to" option works great on my setup—Outlook Classic 64-bit, Windows 11 24H2. By the way, the SendTo icon is kept in the AppDataRoamingMicrosoftWindowsSendTo folder, and interestingly, that 'Mail Recipient' file is just a text file named "Mail Recipient.MAPIMail." This leads me to think your issue might relate to File Type Associations (FTAs).
I solved a similar problem by uninstalling the newer version of Outlook. Sometimes, Windows prioritizes the associations for the new Outlook, which can cause quirky issues with the classic version. Removing the new Outlook seems to work, but I'm not sure if this is a long-term fix.

Thanks for the insight! I checked my SendTo folder, and it looks the same as yours, so it seems like that's not the issue.
