Hey everyone! I didn't build my PC myself; a friend helped me out with the assembly, and I purchased the parts around five months ago. Initially, it had some issues turning on, but after reseating the RAM, it started working—at least for a little while. The crashing was unpredictable; sometimes it happened right after startup, and other times it took a bit longer. Thankfully, that seemed to resolve itself, but after moving to a new place, I had to reseat the RAM again, and now it's crashing again. I'm really worried it won't fix itself this time. I've checked all the connections, updated Windows, restarted multiple times, and I'm kind of at a loss. Is there anything else I should try? Is it normal for a PC to have these kinds of hiccups?
Also, I have a SteelSeries Arctis Nova 1 headset that works fine with my laptop, but it won't connect to my PC anymore, even though it did before. I can hear it connecting when I plug it in, but it doesn't show up in my devices, and the volume button is greyed out. I've tried troubleshooting through Windows, restarted my PC, plugged it into different ports, and even checked the device manager, but nothing seems to work. Any ideas? Here are my specs:
- Graphics Card: Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5070
- Cooler: NZXT Kraken Plus 360 Liquid Cooler
- PSU: MONTECH Century II Gold 850 ATX3
- Motherboard: MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK WIFI
- RAM: 2 Corsair Vengeance 16GB
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X 8-Core

It sounds like you might need to check if all your motherboard drivers are installed correctly. Sometimes, missing drivers can cause issues with peripherals not connecting. Also, have you tried using different headphones to see if the problem is with the headset or the audio port? That might help narrow things down a bit.
Regarding the crashing, it could be due to a loose RAM connection or potentially an overheating issue with the CPU or GPU. Since you mentioned reseating the RAM, make sure to also check that the cooler is properly attached and functioning to avoid overheating.
Also, it might help to run a memory diagnostic test in case your RAM is faulty. Just a thought!

I've had similar issues with my PC. I found that sometimes just unplugging the device for a minute and then plugging it back in helped. You might want to try that!
