PC Won’t Start After Blue Screen – Need Help!

I was in the middle of a game when my PC blue-screened. After that, it went into automatic repair mode, but it couldn't fix the issue and mentioned something about the SrtTrail.txt log file. An AI assistant suggested a series of commands to run, like 'sfc /scannow', 'chkdsk /f /r C:', and various 'bootrec' commands. After running those, Windows booted up, but I faced problems opening some programs due to a 'network error'. When I tried to diagnose the issue, the troubleshooter wouldn't start. Additionally, when trying to access my local disk C:, it said 'C: is not accessible. Access is denied.'

The AI then recommended checking the Security tab in the Properties of Local Disk (C:), changing the owner to 'Administrators', and adjusting the permissions. However, while doing that, my icons and desktop background started disappearing, and I couldn't use any apps. Even after that process, it still says 'unable to display current owner,' and when trying to change it, I get a message that says it can't open the access control editor due to a missing display name under the CLSID key.

I was told to try running the commands again and attempt to boot into Safe Mode, but nothing seems to work. Is resetting my laptop the only option left?

It sounds like you've been through a lot with your PC! Honestly, trying to fix it with AI can lead you down a rabbit hole. Given everything you've described, a fresh install of Windows 11 might be the best way to go. Make sure to backup any important data if you can access your drives before doing that, though!

Totally agree with the previous suggestion. It’s likely time for a clean install. Also, running diagnostics is key here. If your system overheated during gaming, it may have caused some hardware issues, such as corruption or even damage. Check your cooling setup, and don’t forget about SSD cooling too—those high-performance components can really heat up!

Thanks for the tips! Can I check the CPU and GPU after the new installation? Also, I still can’t reset my PC through the automatic repair menu. Any advice on that?
