I'm currently using two NVME SSDs, a 2TB and a 1TB, and I'm looking to upgrade the 1TB to a 4TB model. Aside from the obvious concern of losing my downloaded items, are there any important considerations I should keep in mind? Also, will storing games on this new SSD affect game quality and frame rates? Just so you know, my operating system is on the 2TB SSD, so I'm not worried about that.

First off, focus on the speed of the 4TB SSD you're buying. Some games, like Ratchet and Clank, really perform better on fast SSDs, so make sure your new drive is up to par. Most games today don't need super fast drives though; you might still find some that run just fine on an HDD! But looking to the future, it's clear that games will likely start demanding faster storage. And don't forget to check if your motherboard can handle the SSD you're planning to get!

Currently, my 2TB SSD runs at 5.15K MB/s, while the 1TB is 4.15K MB/s. I'm considering the WD SN850X, which has impressive speeds of 7.3K read and 6.3K write, but it was around $290 before prices jumped up!
