I've been enjoying BO6 on my PS4 for about 4-5 months without any issues, but recently I've been having major problems connecting to multiplayer games. It takes a while to get into a game, and then it crashes shortly after—always blaming my internet connection. I've reached out to Spectrum, my internet provider, multiple times and even upgraded to a better plan, but nothing has improved. Interestingly, my phone's hotspot works perfectly, but I have limited data on that. All my other online games run fine, and my PS4 shows a 100% connection. I'm not very tech-savvy, so I'm really confused about what to do next. Any tips or advice from anyone who's experienced similar issues?

Definitely check your NAT type! Go into your PS4 settings, head to Network, and look for Connection Status. You want NAT Type 1 (open) or 2 (moderate); Type 3 is strict and can cause problems. If Wi-Fi isn’t reliable, using an Ethernet cable is a great idea because it could be more stable. Also, make sure UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) is enabled in your router settings—it can really help with connectivity.
First off, have you tried rebooting your router and console? That can sometimes clear up connection issues. If possible, switch to a wired Ethernet connection instead of Wi-Fi for more stability. Also, setting up a Static IP and port forwarding could help; it sounds complicated, but I can explain it if you need. Check your NAT type too—it should be Open or Moderate. Using Google DNS settings can also improve your connection. If all else fails, consider enabling DMZ mode on your router as a last resort before needing more help.
